5 Beauty Items you regret buying tag

Hey bloggers :) I know everyone regret some sort of beauty purchases every once in awhile, since products are definately not a one size fit all! I wasn't tag to do this but I did get the tag idea from Vintage Makeup. Anywhos here are 5 items that I definately just hate.

1.Garnier 24hrs hydrating day cream - Not hydrating what so ever, smells fresh though.. 

2.Missha Perfect Cover BBcream no.21 -Smells like old lady, feels thick on skin.

3.Bath Body Works plumeria body lotion -Just bad. 

4.Revlon cream shadow in seashell -creases on the lid, colors very sheer

5.L'oreal Bare Naturale -smells horrible, and it drys weird.

A: When girls have their nails all chipped & is waiting for the polish to disappear naturally :/! Gross, it takes less than 5 min. to remove polish lazybutts!!

Tuesday Splurge

Shopping is definitely one of my guilty pleasure, aside from eating delicious unhealthy food of course :). So, I stopped at Shoppers Drug Mart one of my all time favorite stores and bought two things on my wish-list and a impulse purchase (Darn, sales lady).


Garnier Eye Roller (In sheer tint) $16.79

I’ve been wanting this product for so long but never got around purchasing it due to the price any who I finally OWN it :).

Vichy Normaderm Set $29.95
I’d thought I’ll give this trio a try since my Biore cleanser was running low and I’ve read many positive reviews it seems like a miracle worker. 

Cover FX Concealer  (In light) $27.00  
The beauty counter lady somehow talked me into purchasing this product.. but my initial reaction was love. Hopefully I won’t regret it later. 

I would like to say this shopping trip was quite a success, but it did hurt my wallet quite a bit. Since when it comes to shopping I’m always out on the look out for bargains. Have you guys tried any of these products? or know of any cheaper alternatives?

Review: Laneige Perfect Renew Dual Touch Eyes

Ever since I started noticing "fine lines" types of symtoms under my eyes, my first reaction was to purchase some sort of eye treatment.  Personally I suffer from dark under eye circles, and dryness. With that being said, let's get to the review.

This product from Laneige claims to:

1. treat aging in eye area.

a. Being 19 years young, I wouldn't know the effects of this product in the long run, but what I can say is since I've started using this product (Aug 2010) I did not see more fine lines.

2. bright and smooth eye area.

b. Very very little brighten effects. And it only smoothes (feels hydrated) for the first hour, effects wears off.
3. protects eye area from external irritation

c. Product does not irratate skin around the eye area.

4. helps circulation to care dark circles. 

d. No effect 

On the left side is the Day eye cream with spf 25. On the right side is the Night eye gel.

General Thoughts & Recommendation

The package and the concept of this eye cream dual seems like the ideal eye cream but I would not recommend it. The scent of this product is a little overwelming for the under eye and just the product is not effective even after long duration of use (I've used it for 7~8months).

Whats your "All year round polish"

This is my all year round favorite polish, I believe it goes with just about anything! Sometimes I find wearing color polishes hard to wear since it may clash with what I'm wearing for the day which may be a bit of a pain adjusting your wardrobe for your nails (this may probably only apply to me since I'm quite picky haha). Do you have a polish that you like to rock at any given time of the year? Let me know so I can check it out. :)

The fine details: 

What is it? Revlon Nail Polish in 705 Gray Suede
How much? I got mine at a Revlon warehouse sale for $2, in stores retails for $4~7.
Description: This color at first glance is a cream shade but it does consist of very fine gold specs. Light Nude brown.
Application: The top coat that I'm wearing is Sally Hansen Mega Shine. It lasts for a week no chip forsure (since I change my nailpolish weekly). In the picture above I have applied 2 coats of Gray Suede and 1 coat of top coat.

As a dedicated makeup lover and all things beauty related, I tend to constantly want more for my personal collection. Most of the items included in this list are skincare that is because I believe having good skin is far more important then applying heavy loads of makeup. Anyway, I've compiled a list to map out exactly how much, which products, and items that are on my wishlist (a.k.a shopping list). Well lets begin..

Yikes! The total is not including the killer 13% Ontario tax. On the brighter note hopefully, I could cross out a couple of these items soon, even so I probably would be constantly adding to this list! What are some of the items you guys that are on your wishlist?
